Love

You can find love everywhere around you. When I first met Roberta and Andrea, love was everywhere – in their intense look of love, their quivering emotional voices. Love was everywhere. Their home is love for the sea. Their home speaks about their love for travels, being full of amazing memorabilia and a wonderful world map they are filling out, as they are doing with their love’s life pages.

Such an atmosphere is perfect for the bridal prepping set. The bride’s beautiful and charismatic sisters make everything even more sparkling.

Roberta wears a romantic and elegant wedding dress by Rosa Clarà. In her mermaid silhouette, she is seductive yet fine at the same time, thanks to the lace details gliding on a soft and fluid fabric.

The wedding ceremony takes place in the Church of Santa Lucia in Livorno – a modern church, a symbol of the pairing of two districts. The triangle on the façade is the distinguishing element, a Trinitarian symbol representing the 3 urban realities hosting the church: the two districts linked to the town. You can reach the right triangle churchyard through a wide brick stairway and spot the altar on the right angle.

The church was designed by the architect Vincenzo Greco, who was able to combine architecture and design. The church could only rise by the sea to seal all those pledges of eternal love.

Bolgheri Avenue is always fascinating

After the “I do”, we move on the evocative Bolgheri Avenue – an avenue of cypresses in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. A 5 km straightway hosts many ancient cypresses lined. It leads to the Bolgheri Castle from the San Guido oratorio on the Via Aurelia. The straightway became famous thanks to the famous poem by Carducci, written while he was coming back in Bolgheri from a trip in Bologna.

It feels like you are on an endless street, as time could never stop if you walk it. The pictures are surreal, almost magical. Roberta’s wedding dress embraces her beloved Andrea as if she wants to gently hold him. Their kisses are gentle, they gently touch. This couple is full of energy as well – magic turns into fun when it’s time to take pictures on their vintage car, a 2CV Citroen.

Tenuta di Biserno

The wedding party takes place in the Bisernio Estate, discovered by Lodovico Antinori in 1995. The estate is hosted in the Alta Maremma area, confining with Bolgheri both at north and south. It is surrounded by nature and peacefulness. The estate is available for wedding ceremonies, but it also has rooms and hosts tasting itineraries.

The bride and groom have a very up-tempo happy hour full of dances and smiles. The dinner and the dance take place in the estate’s garden, the perfect frame to end an amazing wedding day in Bolgheri.

The importance of the Engagement photoshoot

Every shot returns the beauty and dignity of every moment, making it lasting forever. Just a single moment of your private life – that is the best scenario to capture the emotions and feelings of a couple.

Even a simple engagement can be the perfect scenario for that, not only marriage.

You are a couple in your everyday life, months and years before the “Yes, I do”. You are a couple when you choose your partner every day when you face the troubles together when you make compromises and pursue a path named “life”. A couple can capture their memories before the “I do”.

Those shots will remind them of what makes them choose to share a life together for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for now, forever, for always.

Between light and dark in the Montesenario woods in Florence

That’s what I aimed to do with Vera e Luca – playing with the lights and shadows of the magical locations we saw. As a dance where the music is the complicity.

The Montesenario sanctuary is our first scenario. It is one of Tuscany’s most important sanctuaries. You can reach it by taking a path that crosses the Fiesole countryside and the Mugello’s mountains.

The sanctuary itself is a panoramic turret overviewing the green valley.

The welcoming feeling of a religious silence is almost tangible, maybe because of the presence of the monks.

Its 18th Century porch is this beautiful couple’s second stage. Only the columns and arches of the porch are still there, included in the front wall and the clock tower.

Vera and Luca are into music and travels, two of my main passions. Maybe that helped us a lot to connect ourselves to the point where I told them about my last trip to Bosnia.

When I can feel such a connection between me and the couple, it’s a simple game.

From the Montesenario convent’s park to that of Villa Demidoff

We reach Villa Demidoff – a wonderland wanted by Francesco I de’ Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany.

Carelessness and time have taken away its 16th-century wonders; we can only imagine the Medici Villa with its two Italian-style gardens full of sculptures, statues, pools with water features, labyrinths, and caves.

A dreamlike place where nature and mythology used to meet.

The enchantment of a powerful nature is still there with its huge green spaces, woods, meadows and the wonderful giant of the Apennines, a work by Giambologna. There is still the Cupid’s cave, the Mugnone’s fountain and the chapel, designed by Buontalenti, plus the stables.

It was wonderful to make Vera and Luca dance in the shadows and lights here.

They were so spontaneous and true, they let themselves be carried away and allowed me to capture these moments in one shot.

Laura and Federico’s wedding took place at Villa Castelletti in Signa. A day which was full of emotions, smiles and moments which will remain indelible both in their lives and in my professional experience.

Floricolor has been accompanying me on this research path for a year

Laura and Federico decided to snap their photos in a beautiful wooden album belonging to Floricolor, a Portuguese company which has now been with me for about a year in this search for unique products.

A beautiful wedding needs a beautiful album

The album is composed of entirely wooden cover and counter-cover, which give a rustic and antique look. This is made possible thanks to the particular black and oak color, besides the wood’s texture. On the cover it is possible to burn, through one-laser, 77 Designs provided by the company, or rather a custom one. Furthermore, the album is enclosed within the Smart Box, a wooden case. Composed of two parts held together by 4 magnets, with the color and design of the album cover and with a USB stick compartment for storing all the wedding photos. It is even possible to have the same printing of the album on the cover.

95metriquadri, from haircuts to floral arrangements

Such a special album deserves important photos, like wedding ones. That’s why I asked for help from a professional in the floral sector. Veronica of 95metriquadri, a gritty girl full of innovative ideas, helped me with setting up Laura and Federico’s album on her work counter. She made the flower arrangements, taking care of all the details concerning flowers in this service. But 95metriquadri is not just flowers and related arrangements, it’s also a Hairdressing service, in fact the two brothers Veronica and Benedetto decided to merge their passions in a single store you can find in Ponte a Egola, and I recommend it! They are TALENTED, ORIGINAL AND EXTREMELY COOL!

A rainy day will not compromise your love!

It was a Wednesday like so many lately, gloomy, with the sun being hard to get a glimpse at, indeed, with rain dominating the scene. But unexpectedly, as only life can do in preparing certain meetings for you. I found that ray of sunshine on the sixth floor, in the attic of a condominium on the outskirts of Florence. Here after 6 floors of stairs I entered the house with my heart in my throat, a bit for the effort. Let’s say I’m not really an athlete, and a little bit for emotions. and then because it is always a great responsibility to be able to capture in a picture all the feelings I get personally and due to my couples.

A small paradise on the sixth floor of a condominium

I entered a small apartment surrounded by nature, this because from the sixth floor you can see all the green surrounding Florence. The furniture, the 60s tiles, the wooden ceiling, the windows, made this service unique. I enjoyed telling their story starting from their home.

Opening the door for me Nicole and Cosimo, a couple I had felt affinity with from the first meeting. In their flat I found all their history, their love … and it was easy to tell all of this in one click. I made myself invisible in their intimacy and they made me slip, real deep, inside a game of tender lovers who find themselves in a pillow fight, or in the simplicity of being stretched out on the sofa, sharing little everyday secrets. Normal gestures, immortalized.

The complicity with Nicole and Cosimo led us to share lunch time too.

From the outskirts of Florence to the Chianti countryside

Immediately after lunch we left for Chianti, where we found an incredible location between Castellina in Chianti and San Donato in Poggio which seemed to float above the clouds like a lunar landscape, and actually in these photos Nicole and Cosimo seem swallowed by the fog, lightly supported by the strength of their love. We finished the service where my father grew up, a few miles from Siena, in San Leonino, here it was like giving a piece of my story.
