With Marianna and Daniele, we had previously done the engagement photo shoot in Florence, hence they were much more relaxed this time in front of our cameras. The civil marriage was celebrated in one of the most beautiful town halls, “Sala delle sette virtù” in the municipal district of San Miniato, which is known for its frescos. At the end of the ceremony, the Mayor left us free to take pictures inside the municipality which allowed me to exploit the use of shadows and lights in the town hall. We also had a nice promenade through the historic centre of the town with a little break at the famous pub Birra & Acciughe. For the reception, we moved to San Gimignano in the beautiful Tenuta Quadrifoglio, a magnificent country house located just outside this splendid city.

Ceremony Location : Santuario Madre dei bimbi, Cigoli

Reception Location : Villa Sonnino , San Miniato

With Manuela and Federico we met several months before the wedding in San Miniato to make planning for their “Save the Date” located in their region Liguria.  We immediately formed a real friendship, so much so that we still hear from each other often, and this is one of the things I love most about my job, the good relationships made between the customers and my studio!

Federico and Manuela were married in the beautiful church of Cigoli, the Sanctuary Mother of the Children.  The church is located on top of the small village of Cigoli. From there a few kilometers away we find San Miniato,  who can be reached along a road on the ridge of the hills. After the ceremony, we took pictures of the newly couple as a little respite from the rain was given to us.  To get a more diffused light, (around 12:00 am) we decided to take advantage of a small grove on the outskirt of San Miniato and since we had a limited time we also took photos during the car trip, a beautiful Volkswagen Beetle perfectly restored! After the brief photo shoot, we moved to Villa Sonnino.

We decide to take the photo for this Engagement early in the morning to take advantage of the cooler hours of the day and avoid crowds in the afternoon. After a walk with Martina and Francesco we stoped near an abandoned structure surrouded by little trees to get the right light and shadows. But we are not the only ones who chose the cooler huors of the day, in fact just the time to start making some shots, an athletic runner jumps over the date rope that Francesco and Martina are holding. That was a great moment to use my reportage kind of photo and I couldn’t miss that chance.

After few other shots, we move towards the wall for an original photo that usually many appreciate. For the Engagement I always try to do new things and not to repeat the usual shots, but it often happens that some couples seeing my pictures want a similar one here. Sure I want to make them happy so if that is their wish.. I do everything they want to!

With Martina and Francesco we spent about an hour in the park of Cascine di Tavola, we had great fun in creating something new. It happens that when the couples who choose my photo shoot are in front of my camera, they eventually get relaxed and I always try to put them at ease without forcing unatural poses.
